What is water resistant sandpaper
According to different abrasive materials, there are various kinds of emery paper, artificial emery paper, glass sandpaper and the like. Dry sandpaper (wood sandpaper) is used to polish wood and bamboo surfaces. Water-resistant sandpaper (water sandpaper) is used to polish metal or non-metallic workpiece surfaces in water or oil.

Water-resistant sandpaper, also known as water-abrasive paper or water-sand paper, is named because it can be immersed in water or polished in water. The water-resistant sandpaper is based on water-resistant paper or treated water-resistant paper, with paint or resin as binder. An abrasive tool made by firmly bonding a corundum or a silicon carbide abrasive to a substrate, and having a shape of a sheet or a roll.

Its characteristics are:
1. Adopting linkage line production, high efficiency;
2. Since the water-resistant sandpaper uses varnish as a binder, the drying time is long, and the drying method is generally suspended drying;
3. Water-resistant sandpaper generally has a finer particle size. The particle size of China's water-sandpaper is from P80, and the fine-grained grain is bonded to the grain of the metallographic sandpaper.
4. Water-resistant sandpaper is generally sanded under water conditions, so the dust is less and the working conditions are good.
According to the abrasive
Brown corundum sandpaper; white corundum sandpaper; silicon carbide sandpaper; zirconium corundum sandpaper.
According to the binder:
Ordinary binder sandpaper; resin binder sandpaper.
There are also coarse sandpaper and fine sandpaper.
