What is granularity?
Particle size refers to the size of the abrasive particles. It is easy to understand that the coarser the surface of the workpiece is, the coarser the surface of the workpiece is, and the smoother the surface of the workpiece is, the smoother the workpiece is.
It is defined as the number of holes in a 1 inch screen. The larger the number of holes, the smaller the size of the holes, and the finer the passing sand, that is, the finer the particle size.
The choice of the size of the grinding wheel depends on the surface roughness to be achieved by the workpiece.
There is such a corresponding relationship. Under normal circumstances, for example, in the case of external grinding, the grinding wheel of 60 grains can reach Ra0.8, and the grinding wheel of 80 pieces can reach Ra0.4.
If it is a plane grinding, because its contact area is larger than that of the outer cylindrical grinding, it is also a 60-grain grinding wheel. The roughness achieved in the plane grinding is one level higher than that of the outer round grinding. It can reach Ra0.4. That is because The reason why the contact surface is large and the grinding wheel rotates one turn but the number of abrasive particles involved is increased.
At the same time, we should also note that the finer the particle size, the denser the surface of the grinding wheel, the smaller the amount of the infeed, and it can only be used in the fine grinding occasion. If the infeed is to be increased, it can only cause burns.
